About Victoria

Victoria Black is an accomplished art director and visual designer based in NYC. Her passion for design is matched only by her love for typography and illustration. She has worked with brands across publishing, media, editorial, and advertising spaces. She’s also lent her creative touch to local small businesses.

Victoria is not just a designer; she’s a connoisseur of creativity, constantly scouting inspiration in the world around her. Whether she’s listening to a horror podcast while cooking a scrumptious vegan recipe from New York Times Cooking section, or sending postcards from her favorite city in the world, Paris, Victoria’s goal is to make everything she touches the most beautiful, visually stunning version possible.

Art Direction

As an art director, Victoria works with photographers, illustrators, and writers to make an idea come to life. Conceptually driven and collaboratively executed, this includes everything from coming up with big-picture ideas, to hiring talent, production assistance and delivering a finished product. 

Visual Design

For the client who wants their elevate their brand and messaging, she creates beautiful and strategic executions via classic design methods. Think; clean aesthetics, traditional grid systems, strong typography, unexpected and dynamic layouts.

Illustration

From lettering to spot illustrations, and sometimes even tattoos, Victoria loves making bespoke illustrations personalized for each client.
